It seems like all I see on Pinterest nowadays are feathers, so I decided to jump on the bandwagon and make this for my apartment! This is an extremely simple project that is sure to add some whimsy to your place.
What you Need:
1 twig
10(ish) white feathers
White thread or fishing line
Gold spray paint
Gold glitter spray paint (in the spray paint isle)
Hot glue gun
Clear thumbtacks
Step One: Painting
Find a space outside and lay a drop cloth down. Place the feathers on the cloth and spray with the gold spray paint, then spray the other side of the feathers. Let this paint dry for about 15 minutes, then spray both sides with the glitter spray. Let the feathers dry for about 30 minutes.

Step Two: Assembly
Go outside and find a good sized twig, whatever size you imagined your decoration being. Gather your twig, feathers, thread and glue gun. Cut as many string pieces as you have feathers, making them all different lengths.
Place a dot of hot glue on the quill end of the feather and place one end of the thread in the glue. Then, place a dot of glue on the twig and place the other end of the string in that dot. Continue this process down the twigs length with all the feathers. Wait about 5 minutes for the glue to dry.

Step Three: Hanging
Place two clear thumbtacks in the wall at the same height. Take your decoration and turn it so the glue dots are facing the wall. Balance the decoration on the thumbtacks.
And you're done! It's easy as 1,2,3! Enjoy your new, trendy wall decoration!
xoxo,
Emily
