Don't Get Drunk Before Visiting The Parks

Take it from me, someone who knows, do not get drunk before you go to a Disney park. Being buzzed or tipsy is one thing, but being drunk is another all together. Here's my story.
One day during our Disney trip, my boyfriend and I decided to sleep in and spend the morning in the pool then get to the parks after. At around 12 we rolled out of room and headed to the food court at All Star Movies for some lunch and swimming. Some people may not know this about the All Stars resorts, but they have great poolside bars. The drinks are amazing, the stools are shaded and they play great music. Jake and I each grabbed a rum and Coke then picked a good sunbathing spot by the pool. A few drinks later, I was feeling pretty tipsy. That may not seem like a lot but direct sunlight in the 95 degree heat can really get you turnt. We then decided it was a good idea to go to Magic Kingdom.
First, we went on Big Thunder Mountain. My stomach flipped a little but I was okay. Then, we went on Splash. The rocking of the boat and the drops turned me green, but for the love of Disney, I stayed strong. It wasn't until we went on the Astro Orbiter that I realized what a bad mistake I had made. If you haven't been on this ride, I really don't recommend it, drunk or sober. It's scary and all it really does is spin you around in a circle for a couple minutes. About 10 seconds in, I wanted out. I felt like my legs were made of Jell-O walking off that ride and I was keeping an eye out for trashcans, just incase. I never did boot, but Lord I was close. We decided to take a break from rides and do some Main Street shopping instead. This was probably worse than going on the rides because my impaired judgement encouraged me to drop almost $300 on clothes and treats at the beloved Emporium. I barely made rent that month.
Anyhow, I know that being 21 in the parks may sound like this amazing thing, and it is, but just be careful not to over do it. My advice is to have just a couple drinks a day, or else you risk getting sick on rides and just missing some great things on your trip. Another good idea is to drink around the world at Epcot and plan on not doing rides after. You must experience all of the drinks Disney has to offer, but we all know that Disney isn't cheap, so don't spoil it by getting wasted.
Cheers.
